According to CBS News, Hunter Biden’s legal team is being advised by a former Republican member of the House of Representatives. Denver Riggleman, who previously served as a senior technical adviser to former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s partisan Jan. 6 select committee, is currently assisting Hunter Biden’s team in assessing data issues. Riggleman’s role involves conducting data investigations and analysis, with a focus on a wide range of data. Riggleman’s expertise and insights into House GOP members and their methods are also valuable to the team.

The Washington Examiner reported that Republican lawmakers on key House committees have gathered significant documentation regarding allegations of a pay-to-play bribery scheme involving President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter. Despite Hunter Biden’s recent plea agreement on tax fraud and gun possession charges with federal investigators, congressional Republicans continue to pursue their own investigations.

One area of Riggleman’s work with Hunter Biden’s team involves reviewing claims related to Hunter Biden’s laptop, which gained notoriety after it was left at a Delaware repair shop. CBS News mentioned that Riggleman has been providing digital forensic analysis for the Biden legal team to determine if any data linked to Hunter Biden has been manipulated or falsified.

Riggleman recently met with Hunter Biden’s lawyers at the Four Seasons hotel in Washington, D.C., and subsequently visited the White House on Tuesday to celebrate the July Fourth holiday.

In the summer of 2021, Riggleman was hired by the Jan. 6 House panel due to his extensive background in national security and intelligence matters. Prior to his political career, Riggleman served in military intelligence and worked at the National Security Agency. He was elected to the House in 2018 but was defeated by Rep. Bob Good in 2020.
