Republicans FLIP the Script!

(RightIsRight.co) – Seeking to level the playing field against Democrat electoral schemes, Republicans are flipping the script on early and mail-in voting methods.

By doing so, the GOP is ditching its previous skepticism in an effort to encourage voters to embrace these novel strategies during the 2024 election season.

This adjustment comes after observing Democrat success with these voting methods in the 2020 and 2022 elections, where Republicans felt the impact of not fully exploiting early voting.

Arizona, a state where Republicans had previously been wary of early voting, is seeing a strong effort by GOP candidates and aligned groups to increase early-voting participation among their base.

The July GOP primary results indicated that these efforts are beginning to bear fruit.

For instance, in the 2022 GOP gubernatorial primary, 79.82% of voters used early-voting methods, while in the 2024 Republican Senate primary, this figure rose to 83.67%.

Kari Lake, a candidate who shares Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s views on many issues including skepticism about early voting, saw an increase in early voting among her supporters—from 73.38% in 2022 to 81.14% in 2024.

As the November 5 general election approaches, it will serve as a crucial test of whether the GOP’s strategy to promote early voting will prove effective.

The Republican National Committee has also introduced the “Bank Your Vote” initiative, launched in June 2023, which aims to reassure voters that early voting is as secure as voting in person on Election Day.

The 2023 Virginia state legislative elections were the first real test of this new strategy. Although the Republicans did not gain control of either chamber, the increased comfort level with early voting among GOP voters was seen as a positive development.

Despite occasional expressions of concern, Trump has largely supported the GOP’s push for early voting.

He has encouraged voters to “swamp the vote” and make it “too big to rig”—a nod to his ongoing claims of voter fraud.
