According to a new Newsweek report, a former federal prosecutor disclosed that there had been new evidence that allegedly links millions of dollars in financial payments from a Biden family associate to the Biden family. According to the prosecutor, this could be both politically damaging and lead to legal troubles for the family.
On Thursday, the GOP-led House Oversight Committee released some financial records from John Robinson Walker, a Biden family associate, and his limited liability company, Robinson Walker, LLC, which was established in 2008 in Delaware. The financial records show a link to multiple Biden children.
Following the November midterm election when the GOP won the majority of the House, inquiries about the Biden family’s business and financial records have become of primary interest.
Republican Committee Chair James Comer revealed on Thursday that Democrats had tried to make it appear that their subpoena gave them “nothing more than records for Papa John’s and Starbucks,” but they did not mention how the records are connected to the “Biden family’s business schemes.” As he noted, over the years the Biden family and their companies had received more than $1.3 million in payments made by accounts linked to Rob Walker.
These comments specifically appear to have targeted the Democratic Representative Jamie Raskin’s earlier remarks about Walker’s purchases being for “Papa John’s” and “coffee at Starbucks.” Raskin had also argued that Comer was concerned about “national security” relating to the Biden family, but he did not appear to be interested in the billions of dollars that the Saudi government appears to have paid to former President Donald Trump’s son in law, Jared Kushner.
