The governor pretty much fought against everything Fauci stands for time and time again over the past year and a half. The conservative governor landed himself in the spotlight as he prioritized freedom for his state and its citizens, and he’s happy to use his influence to continue humiliating the nation’s so-called leading infectious disease expert.
On Monday, July 12, Governor DeSantis’ official team account shared new merchandise supporters could purchase in their shop, one of which includes an outline of Florida with the words “Don’t Fauci my Florida” next to it. Other options include hats and flags declaring, “Keep Florida Free” and “Love My Gov.” All designs can be seen here:

A more humorous choice by DeSantis and his marketing team includes a beverage cooler asking how someone is supposed to enjoy a refreshing drink while wearing a mask. This last option was another clear dig at Fauci’s national mask mandate that DeSantis decried numerous times.
Every time Fauci and other progressive doctors provide new guidelines or change their stories surrounding COVID-19, DeSantis seems to battle back and show them freedom wins over fear and oppression. This attitude elevated him to rank second in popularity in a recent CPAC poll, second only to former President Donald Trump. This fame will likely carry him on to great political success with the GOP in the future.
