Russia Threat Alert – NATO Reacts!

NATO flag and Russia flag divided.

(RightIsRight.co) – America’s biggest opponent Russia is threatening the country and NATO’s new Secretary General, Mark Rutte called for its members to increase their defense spending to counter the Russian threat dramatically.

See the tweet below.

This urgent plea comes as concerns mount over the potential withdrawal of U.S. support under a future Trump presidency.

Rutte did not mince words when addressing the grave situation facing NATO allies. “Russia is preparing for long-term confrontation, with Ukraine and with us,” he declared, emphasizing the need for immediate action.

The call for increased defense spending could not come at a more critical time. With President-elect Trump threatening to withdraw the U.S. from NATO if member states do not meet their spending obligations, the alliance faces a potential crisis.

During his previous term, Trump’s hard-line stance on NATO funding proved effective, with Rutte acknowledging, “Donald Trump was completely right when in his first term he forced us to spend more.”

Moreover, Rutte delivered an urgent message to NATO members: “It is time to shift to a wartime mindset and turbocharge our defence production and defence spending.”

This stark call to action underscores the severity of the threat posed by Putin’s Russia. The NATO chief warns that Putin aims to “wipe Ukraine off the map” and may not stop there, potentially targeting other parts of Europe next.

Moreover, alarming reports about the state of European militaries further highlight the urgency of NATO’s predicament. In the UK, experts warn that the British army could be depleted within six months to a year in a full-scale war with Russia.

As Russia ramps up its military spending to over 6% of its Gross Domestic Product (GDP), with projections to allocate a third of its state budget to defense by 2025, NATO members are falling dangerously behind.

The current 2% GDP spending target for NATO countries is proving woefully inadequate in the face of Russian aggression.

Rutte argues that spending levels should surpass the Cold War threshold of over 3% of GDP to counter the Russian threat effectively.

As NATO faces its greatest challenge since the Cold War, the time for half-measures and empty promises has passed. The alliance must heed Rutte’s call and embrace a wartime mindset.

Americans hope to deter Russian aggression and safeguard freedom through a united front and unwavering commitment to collective defense.
