‘The Destruction of Civilization’ Threatened

(RightIsRight.co) – Fueling the flames of conflict following his decision to invade a neighboring country, Russian President Vladimir Putin has issued a stark warning to Western nations over their support for Ukraine.

In response to what he sees as the encroachment of Russia by NATO, Putin suggested that Russia’s nuclear capabilities are poised to target Western territories if Ukraine’s backing persists.

In his yearly speech to parliament and other top officials, 71-year-old Putin criticized the West for allegedly aiming to weaken Eastern Europe and emphasized the potential use of Russia’s nuclear arsenal.

“(Western nations) must realize that we also have weapons that can hit targets on their territory, All this really threatens a conflict with the use of nuclear weapons and the destruction of civilization. Don’t they get that?!” Putin expressed his concern about the potential for nuclear conflict and the following catastrophic consequences.

Amid expectations of his re-election for another six-year term in the voting scheduled for March 15-17, Putin proudly referred to Russia’s comprehensive collection of modern nuclear weapons, which ranks as the world’s largest.

This warning followed his reference to a proposal by French President Emmanuel Macron regarding the deployment of European NATO members’ ground troops to Ukraine—a notion rejected by the U.S., Britain, Germany and others.

Putin assured that Russia’s strategic nuclear forces are fully prepared and mentioned the deployment and near completion of new-generation hypersonic nuclear weaponry, a topic he first introduced in 2018.

Putin’s remarks happened alongside a suggestion from the president of the European Commission to freeze Russian assets to support Ukraine financially.

Displaying his frustration, Putin advised Western leaders to remember historical figures like Adolf Hitler and Napoleon Bonaparte, who unsuccessfully attempted to invade Russia and cautioned that current conflicts could yield even more dire outcomes.

“But now the consequences will be far more tragic. They think it (war) is a cartoon,” Putin remarked and underscored that he believes Western politicians are underestimating Russia.
