(RightIsRight.co) – In a mysterious turn of events, rising star in Netflix’s “Toy Boy” series José de la Torre mysteriously died at just 37 years old.

De la Torre was from the traditional town of Montilla in Spain’s Córdoba Province. He started his young career in modeling and then acting.

In June, De la Torre bravely announced he was battling a serious illness. Despite facing health challenges, he chose to step away from the entertainment industry to focus on treatment.

De la Torre’s career spanned both acting and modeling, showcasing his versatility and work ethic.

He starred in several Spanish series, including “Amar es para siempre,” “Vis a Vis: El Oasis,” and “Servir y proteger,” in addition to his breakout role as Iván in “Toy Boy.”

The late actor once shared, “From a very young age, I found solace in cinema—though not so much in acting, at least not at first.”

“I was a child who couldn’t stop watching films purely for the joy of it. But that captivated me and planted the seed that would later grow into my desire to pursue it as a career,” he recounted.

Moreover, De la Torre’s last Instagram post, dated June 3, featured photos with friends in the Canary Islands, showing no signs of illness of being on a treatment.

The outpouring of grief from fans and colleagues following De la Torre’s passing on December 5 demonstrates his impact on those around him.

Spanish actress Luisa Martín and singer Lolita Flores were among those who paid tribute, highlighting the respect he earned within the industry.

“It breaks my heart to think I’ll never hear your voice again, but I’ll keep talking to you. Love you endlessly, José,” the singer remarked.

“I can’t believe you’re gone so soon. I’m devastated by your departure. I’m sending kisses to all of your family and friends,” Spanish singer Pablo Alborán wrote via Instagram.

José graduated from the Málaga Higher School of Performing Arts, later residing in Málaga.

Though his time was tragically cut short, his legacy inspires aspiring artists, demonstrating the lasting impression of dedication and passion in the arts.
