(RightIsRight.co) – This past election cycle brought multitudes of questions about election integrity, mail-in voting validity, and how the electoral college works. Heading into the morning of Wednesday, January 6, 13 Senators planned to oppose the Congressional approval of Arizona or Pennsylvania’s electoral votes. But, after the Capitol was stormed, many Senators backed down from their stance, leaving less than 13 to support either one or both of the opposition votes.
Six Senators Stood Firm Against Election Fraud in Arizona
To pass an objection to electoral votes, both chambers of Congress must support it with a majority vote. But, as Senators reconvened to finish certifying the electoral votes late Wednesday night, only six opposed Arizona’s electoral votes. They were:
- Ted Cruz (R-TX)
- Josh Hawley (R-MO)
- Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS)
- John Kennedy (R-LA)
- Roger Marshall (R-KS)
- Tommy Tuberville (R-AL)
These Senators made up the minority of the 93-6 vote in the Senate.
Many Americans watched the historic vote take place on C-SPAN, shown here:

Seven Senators Voted to Object to Pennsylvania Electors
Early in the morning of Thursday, January 7, the Senate voted 92-7 to reject Senator Josh Hawley’s objection to Pennsylvania’s Electoral College votes. The opposition was backed by the following freedom fighters:
- Josh Hawley (R-MO)
- Ted Cruz (R-TX)
- Cindy Hyde-Smith (R-MS)
- Cynthia Lummis (R-WY)
- Roger Marshall (R-KS)
- Rick Scott (R-FL)
- Tommy Tuberville (R-AL)
Note that the numbers differ because some senators supported Pennsylvania and not Arizona, and one who supported Arizona did not support Pennsylvania.
Moving America Forward with Strength
The Senators who stood up for election integrity despite mounting pressure to give in to the status quo are the fighters. They will be the ones who continue to defend our liberties and rights by ensuring election reform and remaining faithful to their constituents.
