(RightIsRight.co) – Georgia was the center of much controversy during the 2020 presidential election, with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Governor Brian Kemp (R) taking a lot of heat from then-President Donald Trump for their handling of election fraud claims. Now, a new campaign season is underway as new conservative candidates hope to win the hearts of Georgians and take over the state’s highest offices. In fact, a staunch Trump supporter and ally just threw his hat into the race for the state’s Lieutenant Governor.
On Tuesday, August 10, Republican State Senator Burt Jones announced he will run for Georgia’s lieutenant governor seat. He’ll face off against state Senator Butch Miller, who is a Republican, but also took a strong stance against President Trump during the last election season. Jones, on the other hand, has been a loyal Trump supporter and promotes the 45th president’s America First agenda wherever he can.
Jones shared his first campaign video on Twitter:
As a proven business leader, consistent conservative, and champion for Georgia families, I'm running for Lieutenant Governor to fight for President Trump's America First Agenda and put the people of Georgia back in charge!

This will be the first major election since the new Georgia voting rights bill passed that led to national attention. The outcome of this race will show America just where Peach State voters stand when it comes to protecting our freedoms and values.
