Former President Donald Trump in an exclusive interview with Fox News’s Tucker Carlson set to be aired on “Tucker Carlson Tonight” on Tuesday spoke about how he doubted President Joe Biden was going to be seeking re-election.

This is the first sit-down interview that Trump has had since his arraignment in New York City last week. During the wide-range interview, he spoke about his indictment, Biden’s possible reelection, and more.

President Biden has not yet launched an official presidential campaign for 2024. Still, he has repeatedly claimed that he is fully intent on running for a second term. On Monday during an interview with NBC meteorologist Al Roker, Biden stated that “I plan on running,” but that they are “not prepared to announce it yet.”

During the interview, Carlson asked Trump what he thought about Trump potentially seeking re-election. In response, Trump said that his inability to provide an answer to the question shows that he might be unable to handle another campaign. Trump added that from watching Biden “I think it’s almost inappropriate for me to say it – I don’t see how it’s possible.”

Biden, 80, is the oldest president to be inaugurated and if he won his re-election, he would be 82 in his prospective 2025 inauguration.

In 2017, when Trump was inaugurated, he had at the time been the oldest president to be inaugurated at age 70 in his 2017 inauguration.

When asked about his recent arraignment in a New York County, N.Y courtroom on felony charges for falsifying business records, Trump stated that some of the staff and officers were very emotional about having to book him. He added that “They were incredible,” and that “they signed me in and I’ll tell you people were crying – people that … professionally work there that have no problems putting in murderers and they see everybody.”
