Trump Gets Big Endorsement

(RightIsRight.co) – Donald Trump has come closer to winning the GOP presidential nomination and reclaiming the White House in 2024 as he was just officially endorsed by a powerful long-time ally, Arkansas Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Sanders announced her endorsement of Trump in a statement on Tuesday and was poised to publicly support him Trump for the Republican nomination in the upcoming 2024 presidential race.

She is set to announce her backing for the leading Republican candidate at Trump’s rally in Hialeah, Florida, on Wednesday evening, according to an NBC News report quoted by National Review.

The campaign event will coincide with the third 2024 GOP presidential primary debate, which the former president will skip, as he did with the first two.

Previously, Trump addressed unionized automotive workers in Detroit, Michigan, and sat down for an interview with Tucker Carlson, formerly of Fox News, during the first two debates.

“It’s not a question between right versus left anymore,” Sanders remarked in her statement, endorsing the former president.

“It’s normal versus crazy, and President Biden and the left are doubling down on crazy. The time has come to return to the normal policies of the Trump era which created a safer, stronger, and more prosperous America, and that’s why I am proud to endorse Donald Trump for President,” she declared.

Having served as the White House press secretary under Trump from 2017 to 2019, Sanders maintains an ongoing professional rapport with the ex-president.

“We had great success in the White House and it’s an honor to have Sarah’s endorsement. I look forward to having her at the big rally in Hialeah this Wednesday,” the 45th president of the United States said in a statement.

Despite their amicable relationship, there are reports of discontent within Trump’s campaign regarding Sanders’ timing of the endorsement.

“MAL [Mar-a-Lago] has been furious with her for months for going this long without endorsing. There’s always a way back in Trump world, but I’m not sure if President Trump will ever view her the same again,” a Trump adviser reportedly told NBC News.

The news of Sanders’ endorsement emerged on the same day that Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds endorsed Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the Republican nomination in 2024.
