( – After private polling from Republican sources revealed a significant shift in Pennsylvania’s electoral landscape, former President Donald Trump now leads Joe Biden by 10 points, up from a 4-point lead.

The nonpartisan Cook Political Report recently released this information also noting changes in several other states.

Minnesota, New Hampshire, and Nebraska’s 2nd District, previously considered “likely Democrat” in 2020, has now moved to “lean Democrat.” Additionally, Trump’s leads in Arizona, Georgia, and Nevada, previously categorized as “toss-up,” have shifted to “lean Republican.”

Moreover, the Democratic camp is grappling with concerns about Biden’s performance in the debate, which has sparked serious questions about his mental and physical capabilities to serve another term as the oldest-serving president in U.S. history.

The report’s author, Amy Walter, wrote, “That leaves three states in the ‘toss up’ column: Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. At present, Pennsylvania is the most vulnerable to a flip toward Trump. Biden has trailed in polling there since the spring by anywhere from 2-3 points.”

“Since the debate, however, public and private polling has shown Trump opening up a bigger lead,” she added.

In the 2020 election, Biden narrowly won Pennsylvania by 80,555 votes, while Trump secured the state by 44,292 votes in 2016.

According to AdImpact data, Walter highlighted Pennsylvania as the sole focus of Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., which has spent over $10 million on advertising in the state from January to May.

Additionally, Walter said that they await further post-debate polling in those key battleground states before making adjustments to their assessment of those three midwestern states.
