( – Just moments after a jury declared him a convictеd felon, former President Donald Trump sharply criticized the Democratic-led New York criminal trial that led to his conviction, saying “our country has gone to hell.”

Trump labeled the verdict as “rigged” and “a disgrace” and stated “I am a very innocent man” in the courthouse hallway.

Outside the courtroom, the former president briefly spoke to the media to slam the judge and the Manhattan District Attorney and point fingers at the Biden administration for weaponizing the justice system.

Throughout the six-week trial, Trump consistently declared his innocence, criticized the fairness of the trial and described the judge as “conflicted.”

“We have a country that’s in big trouble, but this was a rigged decision right from day one, with a conflicted judge who should have never been allowed to try this case,” he stated.

Trump also mentioned that the “real verdict” will be determined in November, when Americans vote for their next president.

“And we’ll keep fighting we’ll fight till the end and we’ll win because our country has gone to hell. We don’t have the same country anymore. We have a divided mess,” he said.

“We’re a nation in decline, serious decline, millions and millions of people pouring into our country right now, from prisons and from mental institutions terrorists, and they’re taking over our country,” he expressed.

After approximately 10 hours of deliberation, the jury reached a verdict in the historic case that marked the first criminal trial of a sitting or former U.S. president.

Trump faced 34 counts of falsifying business records related to concealing hush money payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels.

These payments were intended to prevent her from going public about an alleged affair, an action prosecutors argue was part of a broader scheme to manipulate the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

Trump is scheduled to appear again in Manhattan criminal court on July 11th for his sentencing.
