(RightIsRight.co) – Former US President Donald Trump has released a plan for ending what he described as the “Biden border crisis,” the massive influx of illegal immigrants that has occurred since his successor Joe Biden took office.
Trump’s plan for cracking down on illegal immigration comes as Biden has been in the White House for 23 months.
During that period, the United States received about 6 million illegal immigrants. That includes more than 1 million gotaways who were never apprehended, Customs and Border Protection estimates show.
The Biden administration has released at least 1.3 million illegals inside the US to await court hearings on their asylum requests.
“Far more illegal immigrants have entered the United States in the last two years than in any time in American history and by a massive margin. We’ve never seen anything like it. Our country is under invasion,” former President Trump said in a video posted online by his presidential campaign.
“Our border is not open because of insufficient resources or legal authorities. Our border is now open because Joe Biden has ordered it to be open and because Biden has broken the law and torn it to shreds. He has shredded our system and he’s destroying our country,” the 45th president of the United States added.
He insisted that Biden inherited from him a “flawless deportation system” which was more efficient than ever.
“The most important reform needed right now is a total ban on Biden using taxpayer dollars to free illegal aliens and criminal penalties for administrative noncompliance, which happens every single minute of every single day,” Trump stated.
As part of his plan, POTUS 45 demanded that the US Congress make all Trump Border Security Policies permanent in federal law.
The fate of Title 42, the Trump-era policy on swift migrant expulsion, is now in the hands of the US Supreme Court. If the policy is ended, the monthly number of migrant apprehensions is expected to more than double – from about 200,000 to about 500,000.
More than 2.5 million illegals were expelled from the US under Title 42 since it was adopted in March 2020.
Title 42 was based on the response to the COVID-19 pandemic by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The Biden administration has been seeking to end the public-health rule while saying the CDC should create a new public health order on illegal immigration to replace Title 42.
