Trump’s Passport Order Challenged

(RightIsRight.co) – President Donald Trump’s executive order defending biological truth in American passports faces legal challenges from transgender activists, costing him a lawsuit.

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration’s policy that recognizes only biological sex on passports, claiming it violates constitutional rights.

The lawsuit, filed in federal court in Massachusetts, targets Trump’s executive order titled “Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”

This order aims to use “clear and accurate language” recognizing only biological sex in federal documents, effectively halting the issuance of passports with an “X” gender marker.

A Trump administration official explained the rationale behind the order: “Agencies are no longer going to promote gender ideology through communication forms and other messages, federal funds shall not be used to promote gender ideology.”

The lawsuit, supported by the ACLU, claims the policy is “unlawful and unconstitutional” and discriminates based on sex and transgender status.

Nevertheless, supporters of the policy argue that it protects women’s rights and maintains the integrity of official documents.

The State Department had previously allowed self-identification of gender on passports, including an “X” marker for unspecified gender.

This change was part of the previous Biden administration’s woke agenda to promote gender ideology in federal policies, which many conservatives viewed as an overreach and a threat to traditional values.

Trump’s administration has also issued orders banning transgender athletes from women’s sports and preventing transgender military service.

In addition, the lawsuit estimates that 1.6 million Americans identify as transgender and notes that 22 states allow gender identification as male, female, or “X” on official documents.

Yet, some assert that official documents should reflect biological reality rather than subjective identity claims.

While the DOJ has not yet commented on the lawsuit, the administration’s stance is clear: biological truth should be the foundation of federal policies and documents.

As this legal battle unfolds, it is a reminder of the importance of electing leaders who will defend traditional values and resist the push to redefine fundamental aspects of human biology.

The outcome of this case could have far-reaching implications for how gender is recognized in official documents and society at large.
