Two FBI Agents Dead After Shots Fired

(RightIsRight.co) – Heroes walk the streets and neighborhoods of our nation every day, but sometimes they don’t make it home. Two agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) died in the line of duty this week while serving a warrant in Sunrise, Florida.

On Tuesday morning, February 2, FBI special agents were executing a federal court-ordered warrant to a man suspected of possessing child pornography. A shoot out occurred, killing Special Agents Daniel Alfin and Laura Schwartzenberger. Three other agents were injured but remain in stable condition.

It’s believed that the suspected gunman shot and killed himself, according to sources given to the Miami Herald. The incident will undergo investigation by the FBI’s Inspection Division.

These agents gave their lives while fighting to protect our children from predators. Their sacrifice must never be forgotten, and we shall remain ever grateful for their heroism, courage and service.
