(RightIsRight.co) – Exposing the dark underbelly of corporate America and the dangers faced by executives, an Ivy League graduate has been charged with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Watch the video below.
The suspect, armed with a 3D-printed “ghost gun,” targeted Thompson in what appears to be a premeditated attack fueled by anti-corporate sentiment.
Luigi Nicholas Mangione, a 26-year-old computer science graduate from the University of Pennsylvania, was arrested in Altoona, Pennsylvania, following a tip from a vigilant McDonald’s customer.
Authorities found Mangione in possession of a 3D-printed pistol and silencer, along with a document expressing rage towards corporate America.
This discovery raises alarming questions about the ease with which individuals can now manufacture untraceable firearms, potentially bypassing traditional gun control measures and endangering law-abiding citizens.
The murder charge filed in Manhattan paints a disturbing picture of a calculated assassination.
NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch revealed, “Investigators found a handwritten document that “speaks to both his motivation and mindset.””
“To the Feds, I’ll keep this short, because I do respect what you do for our country. To save you a lengthy investigation, I state plainly that I wasn’t working with anyone,” the document stated.
Moreover, the incident has sparked necessary discussions about executive security. UnitedHealth Group’s practice of not regularly employing personal security for executives now seems dangerously naive in light of this tragedy.
Thompson had recently received threats but had not altered his travel routine, according to his wife, Paulette Thompson.
“Yes, there had been some threats,” Paulette told NBC News hours after the attack.
“Basically, I don’t know, a lack of coverage? I don’t know details. I just know that he said there were some people that had been threatening him,” she added.
This revelation from Thompson’s wife underscores the ongoing threats faced by business leaders who work tirelessly to provide essential services to millions of Americans.
Perhaps most disturbing are the reactions on social media following Thompson’s murder. Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (D) described the online sentiment as “deeply disturbing,” highlighting the moral decay that has infected certain segments of our society.
