US Reveals CRIMINALS Behind Major Cyberattack!

(RightIsRight.co) – In a striking revelation, the Trump administration takes a stand as the Justice Department charges twelve Chinese nationals with sophisticated cyberattacks targeting U.S. government agencies, including the Treasury.

These cunning cybercriminals allegedly worked with China’s public security ministry to infiltrate critical systems and gather sensitive information for the Chinese government.

The indictment reveals these hackers’ intricate web of deceit, led by groups such as “APT 27,” to plunder American data and compromise our government agencies.

APT 27, also known as Silk Typhoon, didn’t discriminate as they set their sights on U.S. defense contractors, along with global organizations, Politico reports.

Prominent figures in this breach, Yin Kecheng and Zhou Shuai, are not just names on a list; they are operatives alleged to have deep connections to China’s ominous Ministry of Public Security.

These individuals, active since 2013, brought their skills to i-Soon, a company infamous for its ties to the other side of China’s digital espionage.

“The Department of Justice will relentlessly pursue those who threaten our cybersecurity by stealing from our government and our people,” said Sue J. Bai, who heads the DOJ’s National Security Division.

The scale of these operations is unsettling. The Justice Department has implicated individuals working under the cover of Anxun Information Technology Co. Ltd., whose actions were endorsed by Chinese state security.

They cycled sensitive information into the black market and lined the coffers of China’s intelligence services.

Offering rewards for their capture, the State Department has defiantly put a target on these digital marauders.

Meanwhile, China, predictably, strikes a defensive tone, dismissing the U.S. allegations as baseless.

“For years, these 10 defendants — two of whom we allege are PRC officials — used sophisticated hacking techniques to target religious organizations, journalists, and government agencies, all to gather sensitive information for the use of the PRC,” said Matthew Podolsky, the Acting United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

Furthermore, this isn’t a lone effort. In a commendable display of unity, private sector giants like Microsoft and Mandiant have bolstered the Justice Department’s investigation, providing invaluable assistance.

Together, they’re not just targeting and abating current threats but mapping the dangerous landscape of future cyber threats.

The arrest of these hackers heralds a call to redouble efforts in fortifying American cybersecurity.

The warning is clear: any attempt to subvert our digital borders will meet a robust American response.

If Beijing believed it could skate past our defenses unnoticed, it underestimated the resolve of American patriots to safeguard their homeland.
