(RightIsRight.co) – Pamela Hemphill, a 69-year-old female cancer patient, was sent to prison for 60 days by President Joe Biden’s Justice Department and a federal judge for walking inside the US Capitol building during the events on January 6, 2021.
Hemphill is a native of Idaho, and a drug and alcohol addiction counselor, as she has been sober for 42 years.
A video has emerged online, apparently filmed by her daughter, as Hemphill was about to enter the prison she had been assigned to, the Federal Correctional Institution for Women in Dublin, California, located some 20 miles away from Oakland.
You can watch a video of Hemphill arriving at the prison further down this post.
“Mom, how are you feeling right now,” her daughter asks in the recording. “Scared to death,” replies the elderly woman, who has been treated for breast cancer.
When asked for her last words before going to prison, Hemphill still tries to send out a positive message. “Just keep your faith, no matter what is going on in your life, God’s with us… It’s gonna be okay, just lean on God and do what’s right… Help make this country better again, and support all the January 6 people that are locked up and are not getting any trials. God bless you all,” the 69-year-old said.
The minute-long video has caused the outrage of American patriots and conservatives over what is considered an excessive sentence of an old, frail woman for simply walking inside the US Capitol in Washington, DC, when supporters of President Donald Trump breached it on January 6, 2021.
That is against the backdrop of hardened, violent criminals walking free, primarily in Democrat-run communities all across the nation, due to progressive “justice reform.”
The Idaho woman had flown to Washington on the 5th to support President Trump over doubts about the fairness of the 2020 presidential election.
Back in January 2022, she pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of “demonstrating, picketing, or parading in a Capitol building” She was facing up to six months in jail, a fine of up to $5,000, and up to five years of probation.
Even though Hemphill requested a sentence of probation only, with leniency widely expected, US District Judge Royce Lamberth almost fully accepted the prosecution’s demands.
He sentenced the 69-year-old grandma, cancer patient, and decades-long substance abuse counselor to 60 days in prison, three years of supervised release, and a $500 retribution fine.
