(RightIsRight.co) – Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has moved to suspend State Attorney Andrew Warren, a prosecutor backed by leftist billionaire George Soros, for ignoring the law in service of the woke agenda.

DeSantis announced Warren’s suspension – “effective immediately” – at a press conference in Tampa as he also blasted Soros-backed officials for putting themselves “above the law” all across the nation.
Florida’s governor accused woke prosecutors of applying state and federal laws selectively, in accordance with the left’s political agenda, thus allowing crime to flourish.
He revealed he had asked for a probe into such actions in Florida, which has led to the uncovering of woke violations by State Attorney Andrew Warren in Hillsborough County, in the state’s Thirteenth Judicial Circuit.
DeSantis blasted Warren for disregarding the rule of law in the state on numerous counts. These include refusing to enforce bans on sex change surgeries for minors as well as declaring he would ignore laws protecting the right to life in Florida.
“It’s not for him to put himself above that [the legislature’s action] and say that he is not going to enforce the laws. We don’t elect people in one part of the state to have veto power over what the entire state decides on these important issues,” the governor declared.
“The constitution of Florida has vested the veto power in the governor, not in individual state attorneys, and so when you flagrantly violate your oath of office, when you make yourself above the law, you have violated your duty,” DeSantis added.
He slammed Warren for not only ignoring his duty on purpose but for also showing himself as incompetent to perform them – as he vowed to prevent woke justice from taking root in his state.
“[We will not] allow this pathogen that’s been around the country of ignoring the law. We are not going to let that get a foothold here in the state of Florida. We are going to make sure that our laws are enforced,” the GOP governor vowed.
He elaborated that Americans now have to deal with unsafe communities precisely because of prosecutors who think they can just pick the laws they like and enforce just those while defying the legislatures.
“I think today’s action is obviously warranted,” the governor stated as he introduced on stage several sheriffs who praised his decision to go after wokeism among prosecutors.
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister blasted Warren for “single-handedly determining what crimes will be legal or illegal in our county,” as he argued his sacking was not political but to the benefit of “law and order.”
