(RightIsRight.co) – While speaking at the 113th NAACP National Convention, Vice President Kamla Harris compared the United States Supreme Court’s decision in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization — the ruling that stated there is no federal right to abortion contained within the United States Constitution — with the historic enslavement of Americans.

According to Harris:
“We know, NAACP, that our country has a history of claiming ownership over human bodies.”
While the Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs that there is no federal right to abortion within the Constitution, it left the legality of abortion up to the individual states as it was for much of the history of the United States of America.
