( – LATEST DETAILS: On Monday night, a mass shooting with casualties occurred when a gunman unleashed gunfire inside a Walmart in Beavercreek, Ohio, as confirmed by the Beavercreek Police Department.

The attack resulted in serious injuries to four individuals.

The incident transpired at approximately 8:35 p.m. at the Walmart located at 3360 Pentagon Boulevard. The episode commenced when a 911 caller reported a male individual entering the store with a rifle and commencing fire.

According to the police, the shooting resulted in injuries to three female and one male victims, all of whom were shoppers.

The victims were discovered with gunshot wounds throughout various locations within the store.

By Tuesday, police updates indicated that three of the victims were in stable condition, with one remaining in a critical but stable state.

Responding to the 911 call, police officers arrived within minutes and located the body of the shooter behind the vision center inside the store. The suspect was later identified as 20-year-old Benjamin Charles Jones, who reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Footage from a police body camera shared on Tuesday, captured an officer entering the store and subsequently finding the shooter’s body. The officer is heard on the camera stating, “Got ’em. Shooters down.”

Zrinka Dilber, the assistant special agent in charge of the Cincinnati FBI Field Office, said they are delving into the shooter’s background to discern a possible motive and any potential connections to the victims.

The police have executed a search of Jones’ residence and his vehicle, which remained in the Walmart parking lot. Dilber has appealed to the public for any tips, directing them to the FBI tip line.
