(RightIsRight.co) – A month after a failed assassination attempt on GOP presidential candidate Donald Trump, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) is fanning the flames of conflict by making calls to “finally kill” the MAGA wing of the Republican Party.

Despite Joe Biden’s calls to tone down the rhetoric to prevent politicians from being targeted, Booker rebuked his party with his comments.
His remarks came during an interview on CNN’s “State of the Union” with host Jake Tapper, who questioned how Democrats can present Kamala Harris as a “new chapter” for the party when she currently holds office.
Tapper pointed out, “Democrats have controlled the White House for 12 of the last 16 years.”
Tapper challenged the idea of a fresh start by saying, “How can Democrats talk about a new chapter, turning the page? You guys are the ones writing the book.”
Booker responded by arguing that “that’s not true, Jake, because you know politics like I do.”
“Right now, we see the MAGA Republicans in Congress killing all kind of pragmatic policies that we need to get done,” Booker claimed.
In the conversation, Booker criticized former Trump’s impact: “His influence is egregious and incredible, from his appointment of three people to the Supreme Court that are now rolling back the most fundamental of our rights and freedoms, like bodily autonomy and reproductive rights.”
He expressed his belief that defeating the MAGA Republicans in the upcoming election would pave the way for more centrist Republicans to gain influence.
“So, to say that the MAGA Republicans are not still undermining commonsense, pragmatic, sensible politics is just wrong. And what I know this election can do is finally kill that strain of the Republican Party in a way that I think helps the pragmatic Republicans come back.”
Despite making calls for “killing” the MAGA wing, Booker then backtracked and mentioned he disliked the current divisive “tribalism” and the “us versus them” mindset in politics.
