(RightIsRight.co) – Since President Joe Biden nixed former President Donald Trump’s hard-line border policies, illegal immigrants have been flooding over our southern border in staggering numbers. Upon seeing this, Biden tapped Vice President Kamala Harris to deal with the crisis and its “root causes.” But now, over two months since receiving her new job duties, Harris hasn’t come up with any fixes. On top of that, the White House reiterated this week that she doesn’t plan to visit the border.
The Immigration Crisis Drags On With No Help From Harris
During a White House press briefing on Tuesday, May 25, reporters asked Press Secretary Jen Psaki about Harris’ lack of involvement at the border. Psaki, yet again, provided a cookie-cutter answer, stating that Harris is “overseeing” the Northern Triangle in hopes of reducing the rate of migration.
Psaki then went on to add that the vice president will likely make a trip to the Northern Triangle “soon,” but highlighted “that’s where she would travel.” By emphasizing that travel plan, the press secretary made it clear Harris still has no plans to visit the US-Mexico border.
GOP Lawmakers Have Been to the Border, Why Not Harris?
Over the past two months, over a dozen Republican lawmakers visited border facilities, including Representative Mike Garcia (R-CA), Representative Vicky Hartzler (R-MO), and Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX). Each one brought attention to the crisis while most Democrats have been avoiding a similar visit.
While everyone else has been at the border, Harris has traveled to California, Ohio, Maryland, North Carolina, and Rhode Island, to name just a few. She’s clearly been avoiding any visits to the southern border where she would have to face the catastrophe the Biden administration created.
Governors Call For an End to the Crisis
As it seems Biden and Harris don’t actually have plans to stem the surge of immigrants entering our nation, GOP lawmakers have been introducing legislation to help protect US citizens from the national security threat. Representative Yvette Herrell (R) shared her contribution:

This is all on top of a recent letter from 20 governors calling on the White House to stop the “Biden-Harris border crisis.” They highlighted that the emergency is not only affecting southern states, but now, states all across the nation are experiencing heightened human trafficking and drugs. This insane crisis has been going on for months now, and both Biden and Harris are out of excuses.
