(RightIsRight.co) – After President Joe Biden fumbled through the Geneva summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday, June 16, critics were less than impressed by the lack of forward momentum. But, that shouldn’t come as a surprise after looking at a little-known 2011 meeting between the two leaders recounted by Joe Biden’s former White House stenographer, Mike McCormick.
Recently, McCormick spoke with different media outlets about a 2011 meeting between then-Vice President Biden and then-Prime Minister Putin in Moscow. He told a story that had never been shared with the press before and couldn’t be fully portrayed in the official White House release.
According to McCormick, the two leaders spoke for just over ten minutes before Putin “turned off the lights and that was it.” The Russian prime minister apparently used a show of control to turn off the lights and escort all media right out the door, leaving Biden “dumbfounded” and “looking as duped as an exhausted fish in the bottom of a boat.”

Similar to this week’s summit, Putin’s message a decade ago was that he is in charge. McCormick likened Putin’s power move to a body slam, noting that “Putin just had no fear or respect for him.” It seems not much has changed between these two leaders, but hopefully, President Biden is able to stand up to Putin after this summit as Russia continues to test nations all around the globe with military exercises and cyber attacks.
