In a disturbing incident, two women have been arrested after using a Latino dating app to lure a man into a violent robbery attempt that ended with him being shot.

Julia Dell Yepez and Alexa Montano Corral, both from Salem, Oregon, now face multiple serious charges, including attempted murder and kidnapping, after allegedly orchestrating a violent dating app ambush.
Investigators revealed the women used the Chispa dating app – a platform marketed specifically to Latino singles – to target their victim near Highway 99W and Lakeside Drive in Corvallis.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office reported that witnesses saw two Hispanic women fleeing the scene after the shooting.
The male victim was discovered with gunshot wounds but thankfully sustained non-life-threatening injuries and is currently recovering in the hospital.
Yepez faces the most serious charges, including attempted murder, first-degree assault, and second-degree kidnapping. Her bail has been set at $300,000.
Meanwhile, her accomplice Corral faces multiple conspiracy charges with bail set at $250,000.
Law enforcement officials have also connected both women to additional crimes in a nearby county, suggesting this may not be their first criminal endeavor.
