RFK Jr Told To Get Out?!

Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

(RightIsRight.co) – Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s former colleagues at an environmental advocacy group are telling him to get out of the 2024 presidential race in a new political ad, as they claim his stance on climate change contradicts the organization’s values.

“Honor our planet, drop out,” nearly 50 present and former leaders, board members, and staff who worked with Kennedy at the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) stated in a direct message to Kennedy’s campaign.

Sponsored by the group’s political branch, the full-page ad appeared in newspapers across six swing states: Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania.

Despite his 28-year tenure as an environmental lawyer at the NRDC, Kennedy was criticized for not fully aligning with the climate-change narrative.

The ad cited a statement from Kennedy’s website as evidence of his unconventional environmental views: “Climate change is being used to control us through fear.”

The ad also pointed out former president Donald Trump’s support for Kennedy as a potential presidential candidate who could draw votes away from Joe Biden, whom the NRDC endorsed as the “only one real environmental and climate champion in the presidential race.”

“In nothing more than a vanity candidacy, RFK Jr. has chosen to play the role of election spoiler to the benefit of Donald Trump – the single worst environmental president our country has ever had,” the ad read.

Moreover, a total of 46 individuals signed the statement opposing Kennedy’s presidential bid among Kennedy’s former NRDC colleagues mentioned in the ad, including President and CEO Manish Bapna and co-founder John Adams, who hired and guided Kennedy in the 1980s.

In an interview with the Times, Kennedy did not directly respond to the ad but criticized the environmental movement for accepting inadequate measures from the Biden administration.

He dismissed the notion that he could aid in Trump’s return to the White House, stating, “President Biden does not need my help to lose to Donald Trump.”In addition to the ad, twelve environmental organizations issued an open letter condemning Kennedy’s “false environmentalist claims” and “harmful beliefs” regarding vaccines and climate change.

These critical statements followed the Kennedy family’s endorsement of Biden at a campaign event in Philadelphia, who chose him over their own relative.
