Julian McMahon’s, a versatile actor known for his roles in “Nip/Tuck,” “Charmed,” and “Fantastic Four,” death marks another devastating blow to Hollywood.

This is as the entertainment industry continues to lose stars who brought wholesome entertainment to American families.

McMahon’s incredible talent and genuine character were reflected in both his on-screen performances and the heartfelt tributes now pouring in from those who worked with him.

The talented actor passed away peacefully on July 2 in Clearwater, Florida, with his family by his side.

The Australian-born star, son of former Australian Prime Minister William McMahon, had kept his cancer battle private.

His wife, Kelly, announced the news, revealing the difficult journey he had faced:

“With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer,” Kelly McMahon stated in her announcement. “Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible.”

McMahon’s career began in his native Australia with the 1989 TV show “The Power, the Passion” before he made his film debut in 1992’s “Wet and Wild Summer!”

His ambition led him to Hollywood, where he quickly found success in NBC’s “Another World” and as a regular on “Profiler.”

The actor’s breakthrough came when he joined the WB’s “Charmed” as the demon Cole Turner, opposite Alyssa Milano.

This role showcased his ability to bring complexity to characters that resonated with audiences across America.

He later cemented his star status playing the charismatic plastic surgeon Dr. Christian Troy on “Nip/Tuck,” earning a Golden Globe nomination for his performance.

McMahon’s film career included memorable performances as the villain Dr. Doom in two “Fantastic Four” movies, as well as roles in “Premonition,” “RED,” and “Swinging Safari.”

His final role came in Netflix’s “The Residence,” where he portrayed the Australian prime minister, bringing his career full circle with a nod to his father’s legacy.

Former co-star Alyssa Milano shared in her tribute, highlighting the genuine character that made McMahon beloved by fans and colleagues alike.

“Julian McMahon was magic. That smile. That laugh. That talent. That presence. He walked into a room and lit it up — not just with charisma, but with kindness. With mischief. With soulful understanding,” she said.

His “Fantastic Four” co-star Ioan Gruffudd also paid tribute, saying:

“Even though we played each other’s nemeses, there was always so much lightness and laughter working together. Every encounter with him was a joy. It was an honor to be Dr. Richards to his Dr. Doom. My heart goes out to his wife and family. God speed Julian.”

These tributes speak volumes about McMahon’s character and the impact he had on those around him.

The late actor is survived by his wife, Kelly and daughter, Madison from his previous marriage to actress Brooke Burns.

Amidst the global mourning, McMahon’s family requests privacy during this time of grief. His lasting impact remains in the memories and happiness he brought to countless individuals.

As the entertainment world reflects on his legacy, we honor the joy he brought and the void he left.
