(RightIsRight.co) – Exposing the precarious state in which the left has put the U.S., Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) blasted the Biden administration for “fighting on the side of the cartels,” accusing its policies of abetting criminal cartels through their stance on immigration.
“I think Texas is doing everything it can to fight to secure the border. And the problem is that that [Joe Biden’s] administration is fighting on the side of the cartels,” Cruz articulated this week. He argued that Biden and Democratic officials desire the current border crisis.
Data from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection indicates that since Biden assumed office in January 2021, there has been an influx of nearly 8 million undocumented migrants, with a staggering 3.2 million in fiscal year 2023 alone, marking an unprecedented high.
Sen. Cruz recounted a recent visit to the border alongside patrol agents, where he witnessed firsthand the entry of undocumented migrants into the country, among them numerous solitary minor children.
“Within minutes, you encounter a group of illegal aliens. The first group we encountered was about 20-25 mostly women and children,” he reported. He described unsettling encounters with young migrants, including a 13-year-old girl without any family, a 15-year-old boy, and a 16-year-old girl, all claiming to be visiting an “uncle” in the U.S. who was unaware of their journey.
Cruz underscored the gravity of the situation, especially with a 10-year-old girl who was accompanied by a man she claimed was her father, a claim Cruz doubted, noting the visible terror in the girl’s eyes.
Highlighting a change from the previous administration, Cruz pointed out that under President Trump, DNA testing had been conducted, which revealed that approximately 30% of minors were not biologically related to the adults they accompanied but were instead “rented” to assist adults in crossing the border.
Cruz lamented the cessation of DNA testing under Biden, interpreting it as a willful ignorance of the situation, saying, “When Joe Biden came into office, he ended the DNA testing because they don’t want to know.”
He described the cartel’s practice of “renting” children to adult males as “horrific” and “evil.” Cruz concluded by expressing the frustration of Border Patrol agents who feel powerless to protect these minors due to policies he attributes to Biden and the Democrats, which effectively keep the southern border open.
