BREAKING: Manhunt for Spy – Assassination Plot

(RightIsRight.co) – In concerning news threatening Americans’ safety, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is actively searching for a man suspected of espionage on behalf of Iran and with plans to kill former U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo among other officials.

Proficient in Farsi, French, Spanish and English and known for his travels between Iran and Venezuela, Majid Dastjani Farahani is the individual under scrutiny, as highlighted by the FBI’s alert from its Miami division.

41-year-old Farahani is believed to be a key figure within Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security and is reported to have engaged in the recruitment of operatives for stateside assignments, specifically for the execution of current or former American government personnel.

This development emerges amid Iran’s quest for retribution following the 2020 assassination of Major General Qasem Soleimani, a high-ranking official, under Pompeo’s tenure.

The recruitment efforts led by Farahani are said to be driven by the motive of avenging Soleimani’s death, the FBI notes.

Following the emergence of this threat, both Pompeo and Brian Hook, who served as former President Donald Trump’s special envoy for Iran, have been placed under continuous protective surveillance, as per a report by Semafor.

In a separate but related incident in 2022, an individual affiliated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corp faced indictment over a scheme to assassinate former national security advisor John Bolton likely as a measure of retaliation for Soleimani’s killing.

Also known by the alias Mehdi Rezayi, Shahram Poursafi is accused of attempting to orchestrate Bolton’s murder in Maryland or Washington, D.C., with a proposed payment of $300,000 for carrying out the plot.

Recognized for orchestrating militia activities against U.S. forces in Iraq, Soleimani had a significant death toll attributed to his commands, with implications of being one of the most significant terrorists since Osama Bin Laden, according to a 2021 Department of Justice document on the Baghdad airstrike that resulted in his death.

In 2020 the United Nations criticized the airstrike as both “unlawful” and “arbitrary” under international norms and labeled it a breach of the United Nations Charter.
